For those of you who haven't met my furry four legged child, meet Salomon. He is under the distinct impression I should share my breakfast. Unlikely!

So Here Goes.... Holy Sh*t. Let's call this an intro.
So I am a very weird person. Stay tuned for the "About Me" Section to come later this week...
I find that I am always on the fence or the other side of it. I may keep my mouth shut, which is fortunate, at times but I find I am usually on my own wavelength.
I have a unique set of interests and find that I love to share. Food, paper, my drinks, blanket, you name it... I feel like that list could have gotten inappropriate... :) Whew! Got it back under control.
Warning to the faint of heart. I won't always say what you want to hear. I will never hide an embarrassing moment or humorous occurrence as you are my audience and my approach is honest. Granted, if you can't laugh at yourself, what is the point right?
There is much growth to be had in the coming months. I am very excited to see the progression and invite you to join me through the chaos.
Things you need to know and be aware of:
1. I love to cook. I am self taught and look forward to learning more. My training have been strictly with my palette and now I wish to focus on learning things in a bit more classical traditional approach. Basically, I saw a movie...realized that I don't know much about traditional cooking, like the 5 sauces that every French chef knows... So there is a plan in place. Learn to cook one thing every week. I will work from several sources and will share in my success and my failures. How else does one learn.
2. I am overly independent. There is a lot of reasons that will come up as we go but I am trying to be candid here and so there it is.
3. I am a life long learner. You are not living if you are not learning. Thus, the cooking challenge to myself. I will challenge myself to a few other things and drag you along for it.
4. You may disagree with me at times. That is fine and TOTALLY HEALTHY! People should have opinions and be passionate about their feelings. Feel free to do so. All I ask is that your feelings be constructive and polite while you share them.
5. I am all over the place sometimes. :) It is part of my charm. Bear with me as I do have the occasional rant but am generally rather on top of it.
6. Positive thoughts lend to a positive life. Negative thoughts lend to a negative life. Enough said. We stay positive in my world :) But do state the obvious and its own hilarity when fitting.
7. I am a former athlete trying to get her shit together. Over an 11 year period, since high school graduation, I have gained more weight than ever intended. This blog will chart my obstacles and progress to being the warrior I am inside and bringing her to the surface so everyone else can get to know her.
8. I want to be a runner and do those crazy marathons things. I really admire those folks who are dedicated runners. And I envy their "runner high" so instead of bitching, I figured I will join them. I know I enjoy running as I have dabbled. So I figure I will join those crazy runner people and hope to cover my bumper with stickers that say 13.1 and 26.2 someday.
9. I am a volunteer geek! I love being involved. And I am someone who likes and invites change. I am also a person who isnt going to just sit and complain that there isn't anything to do, I am going to get my hands dirty and create and motivate a change. Create the change you want to see right?
10. I am quite a bit of fun. Please join me for the chaos that I enjoy daily and also, enjoy my failures and mistakes as they are lessons to what gets a person through the day.
I leave you with a wish for sweet dreams and pleasant Monday mornings, if that is possible, as I hope for both myself.
